Leicester Jazz House presents...
Evan Parker Solo
Date - Wednesday, 1st March, 2006
Venue - Trinity House Chapel (DMU)
Time - 8pm
Price - £6/£2 NUS

Britain has produced only a handful of genuinely significant jazz figures, and Evan Parker may be the most important of them all. Parker has moved far from his original inspiration, John Coltrane, but one could easily imagine Coltrane being fascinated by and impressed with Evan's progress. A Parker solo concert (on tenor and soprano sax) is astonishing, mesmerizing, and not to be missed. This event takes place as a part of De Montfort University's Cultural eXchanges programme.
